This is the first of a series of posts to get you familiar with the many subjects that we will cover here at Homebuilder Trends. Some of our posts will be about the business of homebuilding, and other posts will be about how the homes we build and live in here in the US are different than the homes we grew up in and how we can look forward to a continuing evolution in the years to come.
For the most part, a lot of what you will read here is going to be about single family detached homes. These are homes that are situated on their own piece of land. There may be times when we talk about condominiums and townhouses too. They are typically found in the larger metropolitan areas of the country. Smaller towns throughout the country might also have duplexes and small condominiums of just a few units in a single building. These differences in how the home is owned will not significantly change how they are built and lived in.
